Roy Kerckhoff's Art resides in beautiful Carlsbad, CA. Our work is featured in various business establishments in Carlsbad as well as many residents condos and homes throughout the area. We also attend many Carlsbad events and set up booths to show my work. Most of our Carlsbad photography and art focuses on the beautiful beach settings, with a special focus on lifeguard towers that are a key component of the Carlsbad landscape, and many individuals who go to the beach have their favorite spots that are marked by certain lifeguard towers. Some pieces of Carlsbad art include downtown Carlsbad, the flower fields, the Carlsbad wash house, and even more areas of Carlsbad. I take sincere pride in being a Carlsbad artist and proud to have Carlsbad as my place to live and enjoy.

A quintych is a work of art that is divided into three sections, or three carved panels that are hinged together and can be folded shut or displayed open. It is therefore a type of polyptych, the term for all multi-panel works. These pieces can really bring out the ambience of a home, they create a beautiful style with the right framing and instead of the traditional square type photography and art, quintychs create a unique type of art for your home. They are very popular for homes along the coast but many individuals are choosing quintych styles for their residence.

Finding the perfect California photography art for your home that reflects your style can really bring out the ambience of your home as well as memories of places you’ve visited.
Artists use varying techniques to create a realistic impression of depth, while humans in general create their individual realities from personal points of view. The way you interpret the world around you, as well as the artwork you view, is all influenced by your vantage point. By contemplating the multi-faceted meaning of perspective, Roy Kerckhoffs shares his navigations through a variety of mediums.
DECADES OF PHOTOGRAPHING CALIFORNIA'S NATURAL LANDSCAPES
California as a state is about as diverse as you can get. We all know about the beautiful beaches that line the coast from Northern California down to the Baja Border. Much of my California nature photography comes from various regions throughout California. But there are also deserts, canyons, prairies and vibrant cities in California. These California photography locations make for some amazing and diverse landscape photography opportunities! In addition to the diverse landscapes, California has some amazing towns and cities.
This is the art photography I’ve produced over the years from my lens, and I hope it inspires you as well to embark on your journey or bring a piece of California to your home!

Roy Kerckhoff’s San Diego Fine Art Landscape Photographs typically capture the beauty of nature but can also focus on the man-made features or disturbances of landscapes. For example, San Diego offers both beautiful landscapes and architecture, harmoniously present in what is recognized as the largest sprawling urban park in the nation. The beaches are pristine and the lifeguard towers have become symbols of the various beaches they represent.
Landscape photography is done for a variety of reasons. Perhaps the most common is to recall a personal observation or experience while in the outdoors, and especially when traveling. Others pursue it particularly as an outdoor lifestyle, to be involved with nature and the elements, some as an escape from the artificial world.
Many of Roy Kerckhoff’s San Diego Fine Art landscape photographs shows little or no human activity and are created in the pursuit of a pure, unsullied depiction of nature, devoid of human influence—instead featuring subjects such as strongly defined land forms, dramatic weather, and soft ambient light. As with most forms of art, the definition of a fine art landscape photograph is broad and may include rural or urban settings, industrial areas like warehouses and train stations, or simply undisturbed nature photography.
