Roy Kerckhoff’s is an artist and commercial photographer in San Diego, California. His primary medium is photography in both digital, traditional film and alternative processes. Painting also plays a role in his work. Even his digital processes exhibit touches of the artist's hand. His favorite subjects deal with scenes and landscapes forgotten.
The Ultimate Goal:
From the very beginning Roy has been a visionary translating his ideas into a physical form through drawing, painting, illustrating and photography. Roy's ultimate goal is to fully explore the artistic side of photography through alternative processes and ideas. He is fascinated with visual composition and how we react to it. "You can look at a master painter's work like Marcus Pierson, Philip Curtis or Van Gogh, see a painting they did and automatically know it was them. It's harder to do that with photography but that's the goal, to see identify me without knowing the work."

At Roy Kerckhoff’s Art, we specialize in landscape photography and landscape art. Capturing the beautiful coast line of California as well as other inspirational spots throughout the West Coast. Our art is made for your home or business, to help bring the ambience out and create a setting you’ve been looking for. Bare walls are lonely! We like to spruce them up with some beautiful custom art.
I have really become known for my photography and art capturing life guard towers up and down the coastline. These towers symbolize points on the beach and many people use them as points to meet or simply sit back and relax. Whether its Carlsbad lifeguard tower photography, Del Mar lifeguard tower photography, or one of the beaches up and down the coast, these pieces are sure to add a nice element to your home or office.
I also have pieces representing landscape and life in Arizona art, Hawaii art photography, Alaska art, Huntington Beach art, Coronado art and photography, and much more! We also have a special collection of Bodie Art that can bring out the intricate parts of different settings.
