A Shore Thing, Encinitas
Availability: In Stock
Ex Tax: $0.00
A collage of nine Encinitas photographs, in an open edition.
From top left to bottom right we have:
1) The Boat Houses at 3rd St. These were built in 1929 by architect and carpenter Miles Minor Kellogg and his son Miles Justus Kellogg. They were constructed from salvaged wood from the Dance Pavilion and Bathhouse at Moonlight Beach
2) The Self-Realization Fellowship Encinitas Temple. Formerly known as Noonan’s Point, it gradually became known as Swami’s Point after the temple was built in 1936
3) Encinitas oldest building (1883), the old school which is now owned by the Encinitas Historical Society
4) The setting sun that I captured with a tele-lens when a military helicopter went in front of it
5) The Encinitas sign on a Sunday morning with the Canary Island Palm Tree from Moonlight Beach protruding into the photo
6) The stairs at Swami’s with Kimi Evans (former TV weather anchor and Pilates studios owner). She is also in my “Cardiff Stairs”
7) Lifeguard tower and volleyball net at Moonlight Beach
8) Moonlight Beach with the famous Canary Island Palm Tree
9) The stairs at the end of D-street
The dividing lines between the photos are wooden stairs from San Elijo State Beach shot from above, with the pentagonal platforms at the cross-sections.
When ordered framed, it will have default a barnwood frame. Please contact me through email or phone if you're interested in something different (different frame, type of paper, size, etc) than those listed here.
