The Hot Creek Geological Site is located a few miles north of the Mammoth Yosemite Airport. This site is located within the Long Valley Caldera which was formed 760,000 years ago by a giant volcanic explosion and followed by (lesser violent) volcanic eruptions, the last one a few hundred years ago

This image is available in an open edition at all sizes and in 6 size-limited editions: 18x12 inches (total of 40), 24x16 inches (total of 30), 36x24 inches (total of 20), 45x30 inches (total of 18), 60x40 inches (total of 15) and in 10 arbitrary sizes. When ordered framed, it will have a barnwood frame.
