South Carlsbad

This is the view looking south towards South Carlsbad State Beach (in the distance its lifeguard towers can be seen). I love black and white photography: when I hand color my images I always start with a black and white photograph and now and then I leave them untouched. This is one of them: the many textures and details in both the land and ocean add to this cloudy and moody scene.

This fine art is available in one piece but it also works well as a triptych, as shown here on canvas with a barn wood floater frame (outside dimensions including frame) in a limited edition.
